Semi-Powered Infiltrator

After posting a quick re-working of the MJOLNIR Mark V[B] yesterday, someone suggested that I take a crack at the SPI pseudo-MJOLNIR armor introduced in Ghosts of Onyx.  Working on the SPI armor is something I've wanted to do for a while, and I figure that as long as I'm hammering out these practice pieces, now is as good a time as any.

In working on this, I exclusively referenced the early art of the SPI.  For most of the suit, I used the original sketches by Robert and Lorraine McLees as the basis.  The arms were modeled after the version of the armor which appears on the cover of Ghosts of Onyx.

If you're a fan of the SPI armor (or Halo armor in general), you ought to check out 's gallery, as he's given the SPI armor a lot of love over the years.  His attention to detail is great, and he has a commendable respect for Halo's classic lore and aesthetics.
