Scarlet Winter (WH40k)

Another portrait image of one of my Warhammer 40,000 themed characters: Inquisitor Acolyte Scarlet Winter (original reference can be seen here: [link] ). With this, I've tried to simply refine her original design, adding more defined details to her coat and gauntlets, especially. Her hair is also slightly longer in this image, something which I think I'll keep as part of her design. Rather than going for a dark and painterly look like a couple of my previous 40k themed works ( [link] ), here I was focused more on the interplay between extremely light and extremely dark tones in the image. I'll likely be using a cropped down version of this image for Scarlet Winter's page on the WH40k fanon wiki.

Her character design has been a fun and interesting challenge, trying to give her a sleek and feminine form, while still maintaining the chunky, angular look of WH40k.
