My lego Gunship by Tekka-Croe My lego Gunship by Tekka-Croe
Both of The Lego Group's gunships were WAY to big. So I built something a bit more scale accurate.

I recently bought the new gunship, and it's actually size-accurate. But your tiny version looks great too ^^ Great skills.

Really. Then I you must have an absolutely giant foot. The new gunship was wherabouts 14 inches. That's VERY large for a human foot.

going by that the new official version is absolutely fine. But each to his own ^^ I mean this looks great and propably is much more playable then the big ones (pain in the neck to hold onto)

I understand your reasoning, and I have that book, actually. The issue is what kind of Lego scale you're building in. I build by height, and in that scale my gunship is about right. Lego, on the other hand, was building by the width of a minifig, in which case their scale would be correct.

It's a matter of opinion, really.

Actually I dont go by width but by height of a minifig and in relation with the size of speederbike that should fit in the back it works for me.

Still, kudos for building this from scratch ^^

Hm. I just realized that there's an "I" in there, and it really shouldn't be. Meh, it was early when I typed this reply. (~_~)

I have the first one. but I changed a lot of it because I didn't like it. It didn't hold together well(I have it posted) I didn't like the new one because it was based off of the garbage clone wars crap that I think someone put george lucas on drugs to get him to make. yours does seem very well done though.

I admire the Clone Wars for its stylistic value, but if Lucas wanted to butcher Starwars, he really should've done it with live action. At least then Starwars could die with SOME dignity.

How'd you scale it down? I was planning on buying one, but this looks alot better.

I didn't actually scale down the official set, though I did use some of the same techniques. I based this on the Episode Two gunship, rather than the one in the new movie (but I couldn't build the ballguns).

I think that the new gunship is scale accurate to the new movie, but this is more scale accurate to the Episode Two version.
