METAL GEAR VICTOR by Tekka-Croe METAL GEAR VICTOR by Tekka-Croe
All right, so this piece has a story behind it. A few weeks ago, I was in the midst of reading the novelizations of METAL GEAR SOLID and METAL GEAR SOLID 2: Sons of Liberty (I don't own a Playstation 1, 2, or 3). I was greatly enthused by the twisting, conspiracy-laden stories, and had doodled a little METAL GEAR on me art history notes. Then a couple days ago, Dtronaustin posted his concept for METAL GEAR KAPPA. He remarked that in Sons of Liberty, it's mentioned that countries around the world are constructing their own "bootleg" versions of METAL GEAR. I remembered that, and then I remembered the little sketch on my notes labeled "METAL GEAR VICTOR." So I drew it up all nice.

METAL GEAR VICTOR was intended to be a direct successor to METAL GEAR REX. While the USMC was busy constructing METAL GEAR RAY, the United States government began a black op on a small pacific island, with the intent of developing a better REX. VICTOR was born out of the project.
With former FOXHOUND agent Solid Snake busy taking on other independent METAL GEARs around the world, FOXHOUND dispatched one of their own agents, codenamed "Stoic Crow" to the island...

Uhhh Stoic wouldn't be a good word to use. I think the name
"Stealth Crow" would be a better name choice

It looks kind of Gundam-like...
I really only know about Gundam from what you make, so pardon me if I'm not entirely accurate in that judgement. :)

Awesome. Though the feet don't look like they'd support much of it's weight.

Waw just waw this is cool A really nice mod of rex this would have been so much better than ray, I loved rex in the games, having played all of the metal gear games up to now I can say that rex is the best and this is just a beautiful update, loving the gundam inspired railgun and even the ray-dome looks more futuristic. I love the idea of moving the head unit down, it gives it a much more beastial look, there is just a couple of things that I would add though, the feet need something like the stabilizing spikes on the front that rex had if just to add a nice smooshing weapon to the feet, it also needs a Free-electron laser like rex had between its legs and ray had in its mouth, it needs one of those somewhere on it just to make it perfect.

The feet are inspired by some of the more recent Metal Gear games (namely: Peace Walker), as I felt they look both light and strong. As for the Laser, I had it mounted on the chin, and decided to make it retractable, since a laser would likely have sensitive electronics. You can see the panels on the front of the chin where the laser is stored.
