Okay, so if you're super obsessive, you'll want to point out that this isn't Gundam Sandrock, it's Gundam Sandrock
Kai. Well, big deal. It's the same thing, just with more thrusters, for space operations.
In both
Gundam Wing and it's sequel
Endless Waltz, the Sandrock has always been my favorite of the five Gundams. Not sure why, I just dig it. As some of you may have guessed, I used my previous illustration of the Wing Gundam as a template, as the five Gundams from
Wing seem to have roughly the same proportions (which makes sense, I suppose, as they were all designed by the same team of mad scientists).
As with the Wing, I've played around a bit with the color scheme, removing many of the red bits, and completely eliminating the light grey sections. I also carried the gold trim into the shoulders, to balance the trim on the skirt armor.
Original Kunio Okawara design can be seen here:
[link]EDIT 10/28/12 It's come to my attention that my previous computer's monitor settings were somewhat skewed, causing yellow colors to have a pale, sickly hue. I've since corrected this to have the more golden yellow that I intended.

If I were any good at customizing/kitbashing, I might just have to PLA plate the shit out of an old Sandrock model and make this.
Yes, I, too, liked Sandrock the best for no reason other than he wasn't Wing Gundam.
