This is what I meant in my last posting by "exotic and experimental." So here's the Seabird, the central mecha in the aptly named "Project Seabird." I did the first illustration of this machine back in the ninth grade, and I'm glad to say I've come a long way since then. The color scheme is virtually the same as the original, however, so I at least got that right the first time around.
While most mecha in Project Seabird are designated "HCF" for "Humanoid Combat Frame," the Seabird is one of a few designated "EHF" meaning "Extraterrestrial Hybrid Frame." The Seabird, and combat frames like it, were built by Manchester Lab, much of their technology having been reverse-engineered from "The Outsider," an unmanned scouting mech of Extraterrestrial origin. The Outsider was shot down by a flight of Peregrines ten years prior to the main story.
EDIT 7/19/2012 DA user and 3d modeler has created a phenomenally accurate 3d model of the Seabird. You can see it here: [link][link] Go check those out, it's awesome.
nice. it's a very evangelian in the waist, has an astrayish chest, one of the girlier gundams high heels and still manages to look super original and cool
