Cadian Scout by Tekka-Croe Cadian Scout by Tekka-Croe
Scouts are an invaluable part of any infantry regiment, as they dash through hectic war-zones, calling in high-priority targets and helping to direct air-strikes and artillery fire.

A few years back, I bought a little Cadian heavy weapon squad ([link]) pretty much just for the fun of it. A few days ago, I found the old sprues with a bunch of unused parts on them, including most of this guy. After playing around with parts combinations, I decided to convert him into a scout. This involved repositioning his left arm, and sculpting his right arm, equipment pouches and cloak using Citadel's Green Stuff. I also used bits of styrene rods and sheets to create a scope for his lasrifle. This is also my first time using static grass when basing a figurine, and for a first try, I'd say it turned out all right.

This one's not intended to be used in any battles, it's just a fun little display piece.

Figurine produced by Games Workshop; modded, painted and based by me.

Oh I just love him, the whole scout thing looks really nice - the only thing thats bugging me a little bit is his helmet, it seems a bit too clunky perhaps? but otherwise flawless

Wow, this one looks awesome! Very nice pose and converting work!
Especially love the flow of the cloak ^^

Only his right hand looks a little thick from the side ;)

As I don't own a copy of 6th edition, I can't really say much about it. The alliance chart is kind of weird though, I know that much (Eldar and Dark Eldar are "brothers in arms" now? What?).

I'm still gathering the materials needed to play, at the moment.

Ran a tournament for my local Rogue Trader last weekend using the new edition. It went smoother than anticipated. Games last forever now, what with rolling to see what kind of forest you're in, what kind of river you've crossed and what mysterious object you've found. Nobody chose to use fortifications or allies though. I guess it'll work out okay. I'm just pissed the EVERY mission in the book uses Nightfight rules..

This turned out amazingly well!

I really like the weathering work you did on the armor and fatigues. I really wish I could get my greenstuff to behave... I can never get anything close to what you sculpted for the cloak and arm.
