Ahead Ver.Teby *Tekka-Croe

It's been a while since I last posted one of my "Ver.Te" redesigns. This time, it's the Ahead from the second season of Gundam 00.

Let me be clear: I hated this thing's original design. It looks kind of awful (you can see it here: [link]). It just didn't look... Gundam. So I tweaked the shapes, proportions and colors to my liking (and hopefully to your liking, too).

OMG you did the Ahead justice on its design! xD
i hated the original desing as well, this is just what it needed to look like in S2.
although i have to say: the ahead series all just looks like fatter versions of the GNX to me with perk add ons like the vernier thrusters :/

Indeed. I wasn't very fond of many of the designs from 00S2. They just don't look... Gundam enough for my tastes. I love the GN-X, but that's about as far as I'll stray from the established Gundam aesthetic.

lol well im not that picky about the other straying gundam designs... i just hated the Ahead series and that was it (the sakigake custom type was the only slightly cool looking one. I guess the GNX's and other mobile suits like the flag (btw i like the flag its a pretty awesome design despite them not being very powerful until the brave units come along)substitute for like the Zakus and Jegans and such :)

Honestly i still think the original Ahead is a lot better, your proportion simply doesn't match the nature of Ahead's design. Ahead does looks bad in that lineart, because that is just an animation reference art, you should try looking at their model kits, even the bulky Ahead can be damn sexy [link]

But wasn't the Ahead kinda like the GN-ified version of the Tieren so it HAD to be FAT..... Still amazing work it looks more sexy yet still retains the right amount of bulkiness fitting a heavy slugger unit. :iconyeehawplz:
