Description

Three more Jedi, who may appear in the backgrounds of future Clone Wars illustrations. Of course, in the tradition of Star Wars, they all have a backstory.

The woman in the teal tunic is Aleon Yawoo, a Jedi OC created by DA friend :iconknifeless-juliet: (her original illustration can be seen here [link]). I'm unsure of Aleon's level of involvement in the Clone Wars era, so you can defer to her original references for her background.

The green fellow in the center is Jedi Master Vril. I'm not certain as to what his species is, as he's based on an alien from Lego's Space Police III line: [link]. More than a decade prior to the outbreak of the Clone Wars, he trained Khain ([link]) in the Jedi arts. Even now, in the midst of galactic conflict, Vril continues to take on Padawan learners and train them in the ways of the Force. In his early years, he had a diminished ability to use the Force, a trial which he has since overcome through intense and prolonged meditation. Additionally, he places a very high priority on physical discipline (a trait he obviously instilled in Khain), which has allowed him to maintain a lean and muscular physique, despite his age. His prowess in physical strength, lightsaber technique, and the Force make him the very embodiment of the concept of a "Warrior Jedi." He currently serves as the General of the 201st legion; through some twist of fate, Khain is once again under his command as leader of the 201st's Armored Vanguard battalion.

And the blue guy beside him is Tulan, his current Padawan. This young Twi'Lek man was assigned to Vril just days prior to the battle of Geonosis. In the months since, he has emerged as a charismatic leader among the forces of the 201st legion. He is a promising student, and has all the makings of a highly capable, if somewhat unimaginative, Jedi Knight. (Note: it is a common practice for Padawans of hairless species to wear a short chain or cord in lieu of the traditional "Padawan's braid.")

Note regarding lightsaber color: because the color of a lightsaber's blade is determined by the color of its focusing crystal, I figure there would be a virtually infinite number of saber colors, varying slightly based on subtle differences in the coloration of the crystals. Hence, Vril and Tulan both have lightsabers which would be classified "light blue," despite that Vril's has a greenish hue while Tulan's has a purplish tinge.
